Breakout Sales October 2023
Group Sales Scavenger Hunt – 2023
We hit a significant milestone as we hosted our inaugural Group Sales Scavenger Hunt!
A total of nine teams, each consisting of two to three stores, meticulously mapped out an offsite hunt area in close proximity to their respective stores. Their collective mission was to complete 15 tasks, all designed to boost our Group Sales outreach efforts.
These dedicated teams ventured out into their local communities with zeal. They distributed flyers, engaged with potential customers, and diligently marked off tasks on their scorecards.
Their endeavors included identifying individuals interested in team-building events or holiday parties, connecting with residents residing within a one-mile radius of our Breakout locations, and engaging with prospective guests who had never experienced the thrill of an escape room or had reservations about them being too intimidating.
The team that secured the top spot with the fastest completion time in the Scavenger Hunt was:
Gatlinburg & Hyde Park Carol Waldo – Team Captain Craig Kossoudji Jake Leonberger Kiley Ernst Kristin Plourde
They beat the hunt in less than 90 minutes! Congratulations on an impressive performance!
Here’s Carol’s 6 Tips for Leading Winning a Scavenger Hunt
-
I established communication EARLY. I set expectations and came up with a plan. Not just a plan for the hunt, but how the other team could maximize on the contest AND the scavenger hunt, working smarter!!
-
I checked in frequently… almost DAILY… wanted everyone on board and wanted input so we could pivot as needed!
-
I got creative. (see photo below) We have different markets, so figuring out what was best for our markets, seeing the connections we already had and following up with them to re-establish partnerships, offer tours, remind them of the holidays coming up and how we may be able to help.
-
We were supportive of one another and cheered each other on… we are a team!! THIS WAS A
-
I wanted to learn about the other members of the team… we have a few that were in class, so letting them know it was ok to ask their classmates, actually encouraging the exchange in communication gave us all an opportunity to add something to the hunt!! TEAM EFFORT!!!!
-
WE WANTED TO HAVE FUN…. it was def better than making calls for 1 hour!
