Activate Group Sales July 2024

July Mini Challenge: Zendesk Response Time 

Challenge: 

  • Contest will run from July 1 – July 31

  • All open Activate locations are eligible to participate

  • Reply to all new Zendesk tickets with an initial response within 2 hours

  • The tickets do not have to be solved within 2 hours, you just have to reply within 2 hours

  • Each day the challenge will reset, giving you an opportunity to win that day

  • Stats will be updated on the July Zendesk Challenge tab here: Activate- Rapid Raffle Entries and Snappy $

  • Prizes will be awarded at follows

    • If you have a response time of 2 hours or less for all 31 days, you will win a $500 VISA card for your store

    • If you have a response time of 2 hours or less for 16-30 days, you will win a $250 VISA card for your store

    • If you have a response time of 2 hours or less for 8-15 days, you will win a $100 VISA card for your store

 

Group Sales Target: Summer Hotel Visit

  • Summer Hotel Visit Tips

    • It’s time again to visit your local hotels to refresh your flyers in the lobby. Here’s some tips to help you plan your outing.

      • Plan ahead – Pick a date & put it on your calendar for when you can step out of the store for a few hours to make your visits.

      • Call a few days before your visit to let them know you will be stopping by. This can really warm up your visit!

      • Map out your path on Google to make the best use of your time.

      • Take another GSC with you – this is a great way to help combat those nervous jitters that sometimes occur when you are working outside your comfort zone.

      • Go ahead and premake your partnership cards with a custom code for the places you will be visiting. That way, if they say yes to you leaving the flyers, you can give them the partnership card as a Thank you! Then, you can grab a business card of theirs to add to your spreadsheet when you return to the store. (*Tip courtesy of Carol McGimpsey)

Group Sales Focus: Accommodation & Flexibility 

Many folks visiting your area during the warmer months already have an itinerary of activities. But, as we all know, those summer afternoon showers can put a damper on even the best laid plans. How can you accommodate guests when they need a last minute indoor activity?

Some tips include:

  • Call the day before to confirm big groups

  • Make sure your store is clean, stocked & ready for guests at all times

  • Have your rooms reset & ready to go for walk ins or last minute guests

Think of places that might get rained out & stop by to talk to the manager. 

Give them a flier & encourage them to suggest Breakout/Activate for guests canceling their outdoor plans last minute.
