Store Notes
- Summer is fast approaching and with that comes a shift in overall business. Below are a few best practices to prepare for peak sales to ensure a smooth transition into Summer:
- Check in with team members about summer plans. Review any pending requests off in 7Shifts and note weeks that already have 2 or more overlapping requests. Just remember that a request is simply that, and ultimately we still have business to handle. Knowing early on about time off requests allows for the best planning.
- If you plan to take vacation, go ahead and put that in ADP and reach out so that I can update my calendar.
- Follow up with college students as some will either be returning home for the summer, or leaving for a few months depending on the situation. This works in the short term busy months for a temporary 6-8 week staffing help.
- Mark your calendars for end of school (college & high schools) and area graduations as this could lead to increased requests off.
- If any summer hiring is needed, please continue to reach out to Jackie or myself for any CareerPlug needs.
Breakout Review Contest Period 4 FINAL RESULTS

- Check out the final results for Period 4 HERE.
- Shout out to Craig (Hyde Park), Leonie (West Chester), Vee (OKC), Jeff (Plano), Jason (Orange Beach), and Christy (Virginia Beach). Way to knock it out of the park. A big thank you to you and your teams for nabbing such great reviews for Period 4.
- Keep on it through Period 5 & 6, but remember that asking for reviews is the expectation and a part of the job for all Gamemasters. Work with your team to find the best phrasing to get those great âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ reviews! Lead by example and set the tone for your store.
Manager Self Reviews
- Self reviews are assigned in Eloomi to all Breakout GM’s. There is a deadline for May 19th to complete these.
- Please take some time to work through them and reach out through email or Discord if there are any questions while doing these.
- Jimmy and Ben will then coordinate times with you all to review these in the coming weeks.
Gamemaster 1:1
- A new Eloomi course has been added to use as a guide for Gamemaster 1:1 meetings to help with their continued development.
- “Quarterly Reflection & Goals” can be assigned to any Gamemasters and conducted at a minimum of each quarter as a way to dedicate individual time with your teams.
